For the distributors of promotional products in Europe the choice of trade fairs seems to become wider. An emailing I just received from PRO8 reminded me there is a choice.
Two more trade shows popped up in the market. Besides the traditional PSI in Düsseldorf the distributor is now also invited to visit the Pro-dimex and even the 2008 newcomer PRO8 in Amsterdam.
What’s the difference, which fair should the distributor visit to prepare his 2008 sales?
PSI, PRO 8 or Prodimex or the three of them ?
For a few months I have received e-mailings announcing that a new tradefair for the premium and gift industry was launched in Amsterdam, Holland: the Pro8. I’m quite astonished: why would distributors visit this fair rather than PSI or would they visit both fairs ? What is so new and innovative that will make the fair a success.
Below is an interview with John Swaab from PRO8, my questions are quite agressive, but it’s true that I’m really not convinced (yet) that this fair has it’s place in the actual market.
This fair started in 2003 with 42 exhibitors and 2400 meters of floor space. Already in 2006 there were 4 times more exhibitors, and 10 250 square meters of floor space. !!
A fast growing and colourfull tradefair worth a visit !
Below is an interesting interview with Alina Ionita, about the Advertising show 2007 in Bucarest, Romania.
You didn’t visit the ASI show in Philadelphia ? No problem, Tim Andrews , president of the ASI shares with you some of the great new products and trends that we’re seeing in the ad specialty industry this year. You can see them in the video from the show floor below.
A quick visit of the PromZ trade show in Holland, a small tradefair where about 100 Dutch distributors of promotional products exhibit their products.
Below are listed the best, the most innovative, the most friendly and the most empty booths.
From Dale Denham, senior vice president at A.S.I. USA:
I just returned from attending the launch of another trade show, but this time in the United Kingdom, where it seems that some people think there is an opportunity for a better trade show.
The show was held in Coventry and hosted by Trade Only, which positioned the show just a few weeks after the Promota Show – held in Birmingham in mid-February.
Upon my arrival, unlike most people who visit the U.K., I opted against public transportation and decided to rent a car. I thought it would be a good refresher to drive on the left side of the road, since the last time I did that was in Australia in 2001.
